I am a Taiwanese who lives with my English husband in the UK for years. When we knew I was pregnant and we were going to have our first baby (or probably our only baby), I decided to go to Taiwan to give birth by a 23-hour journey of flight with 2 transits. It was not easy but it's great I made it. If I had to make the decision again, I reckon I will still do the same.
